Hiking barefoot, does anyone like it?

I love hiking barefoot on smooth trails. It puts me in contact with nature. I really love it when the trail is muddy!
How about you?

Had a short vacation break and went barefoot for walks on many days on trails that were a mix of paved, dirt/gravel and sand. Certainly enjoyable, especially when wearing nothing else (other than a cap) and I'm sad the break is over, however I think my feet shall appreciate the chance to recover. Hopefully they'll be more resilient for next time. Must keep my barefoot walking hours up!

I hike naked, and being bare foot is essential!

I walk 3-6 miles every day. At least half of it barefoot. Once I retire, that will be 100%of the time.

I have hiked barefoot. I love the feel of the ground on my feet. However, I live in the deep south, so I don't do it often. Down here, our flora and fauna is actively trying to kill you, eat you, poison you, sting you, bite you or just suck the blood out of you, I had an encounter last week with a water moccasin, and that was on a back road. Ticks can also be an issue down here.

If your going to hike, you will need toughened feet and mosquito repellent. And for the love of all that's holy, watch where your putting your foot down,
