I'm the patriarch of my social circle and it's a lot of work! Not a cult, mind you, but we welcome all. I have found the balance of work and fun, and I do both very well. I've achieved the divine state being devoted to celebrating fun, my friends, myself, and my life that I have here and now. You know what I mean: I am hanging with my friends, feeling relaxed, smart, funny, and just a little full of myself . I am in the moment -- my groove thang, wearing something bad and talking boss. Then, when life could not possibly get any better, KA-BOOM, my favorite song pops on the radio. Total Party Life Force! I'd shake my booty and feel the love all around me. Found bliss in the party of friends, hit my nirvana, and that's when the honking horns do not bug me, chaos turns to confetti, and life is grand. -- Stop laughing, it happens to me A LOT. I am without chemical inducement.
Alcohol yes, but not much thereafter. Don't get preachy, my 12 steps took me to a bar, but best of luck with yours. Bottom line, I do not use alcohol or drugs to cope, ignore my sorrows, or to have a good time. How is that for awesome!!
