The leading boy is usually played by a woman (in tights and a short skirt)and "his" mother, the Dame, by a man (in a long frock with a low neckline)- so lots of cross dressing. Inevitably it includes the villain capturing, chaining and torturing his victims (but the hero always wins through and rescues them). When getting props and costumes together there is a call for corsets and bondage gear. And this is children's entertainment!
I can't imagine where else one might have such a combination. Can you?
Away from the Pantomime I use chains and padlocks to fasten myself up, securing hands and feet. I put the keys out of reach. So, when the padlocks click shut, I'm helpless - totally unable to escape without the help of a friend. He might do anything to me before setting me free. I also have a balls shackle. When locked in place it can't be removed without the key. I used it to chain myself to the cooker. I had no escape no matter how free my hands and feet were.
