Tactile Nudists
For anyone who likes to touch and be touched, be it loving, sensual or sexual.
Is it a public Taboo?
Return to DiscussionsOther discussion threads refer to "consenting adults" and "Look but don't touch" at a nudist venue but... in general ... is it really necessary to have those caveats/warnings? ...
Why do you think so many people try to avoid a friendly hug, or even any kind of touching, especially if you hold it a few seconds "too long"? Clothed or not, some people seem to act like it is a physical threat, if you get "too" close to them. Does anyone else feel that way , or am I misreading their body language?
I know it is kind of strange, but when clothed with other clothed people, if someone is speaking with me right in my face, I get this feeling that my space is being invaded, but when naked with others, the closeness does not bother me at all, in fact, I enjoy it.
I have a couple of nudist buddies I have visited. We will sit for hours on a sofa, cheek to cheek ... legs touching, just enjoying bonding with each other.
With one of them, after about a year of visits, it became somewhat sexual, but with the other, we are just two men comfortable with our nudity.

I'm the same. Having said that I'm very tactile. I might put my hand on the shoulder of a clothed person - and hug someone who is naked. To gauge whether they will accept a hug I will stand facing them arms outstretched. They can keep their distance or step closer and into my arms
I think today people assume you have the right to never have your "personal space" invaded. Granted nobody can touch another person without a degree of consent. But sometimes things do happen. You have to be willing to deal. Simply say, "hey, I don't like being touched, I know you mean well, but can you not do that going forward?" People today are afraid to simply talk. Just say how they feel.
I love to be hugged and touched. If Im naked, I wouldn't be upset if someone came up and hugged me nude or not, or put their hand on my shoulder. Now if they started to touch other parts of me, well depending on the situation, Id probably just return the favor!
I think you just have to use your instincts. You'll know fairly quickly if someone is ok being touched or not.
