Return to DiscussionsThe town I live is pushy when it comes to right-a-ways. We are to keep the alley mowed so the electric coop, cable company, and phone company can get through. Also, keeping trees over sidewalks and street must be trimmed to certain heights. If there is a problem with any of those, tard needed mowed, or there was a bunch of stuff in front of the house, code compliance would stop to give you a warning with so much time to take care of the issue. Being disabled I am unable to mow and things.
I am always naked when home unless I have company not comfortable with my nudity. It was a Monday morning, about 8:30, when the door bell rang. As usual, I opened the door naked, but I stand behind the door enough as to not be exposed. but there is enough showing so you can see I'm naked. To my surprise and concern, it was a code compliance officer. She explained why she was there. She said I needed to move out from in back of the door, so she could make sure I didn't have a weapon. When I told her I was naked, she said I needed to prove to her I didn't have a gun with me, I stepped out and she was satisfied I didn't have a gun. Since she had seen me, I just continued talkin, standing in front of her. She kept glancing down to catch a look. I began to rise a little, which she seemed happy with herself, because of it. She gave me the list of things I needed to correct and the time frame to accomplish it.
I asked about extra time as I was disabled and needed to find someone to help. She gave me an extra week. She asked about my disability. Then we just stood there talking for a bit.
