Return to DiscussionsA short wrap is the minimum to put on when I have to cover up. It goes on easily and comes off more easily.
They are useful when meeting people on a naked hike or for getting to the beach. And all is revealed if I sit, bend down or kneel to pick something up - instant flash! Or I just open them for another flash.
Some are see through. I look covered from a distance but everything can be seen when close up. I find passing textiles are not phased by it. It does not put off the sales girls in the slightest. Some are amused at the naughtiness of seeing what they shouldn't. A fav story is when we bought some ice cream from a posh restaurant in Gran Canaria. The two girls were sitting as I stood close in front of them. Guess where their eye level was. I asked the price. But before I got an answer there was a lot of giggling and chatting to each other in Spanish.
Yes, short wraps are the best. I made mine from thin gauze cotton cloth. It's about 10 inches long and just covers my bits. It ties around my waist as i csn make it as tight or loose as i need. The material is so flimsy, sny breeze can lift it snd show every thing. Fun to wear st grocery store with all the women looking snd asking to see and touch more.
We both wear sheer mesh sarongs as cover ups traveling to and from the beach and nothing else, ours are about 8 at the widest part of the sarong and taper to a point on each end and we tie them low around the waist to give the allusion of being covered but in most cases we are very much exposed while walking to and from the beach, but since everyone we encounter on the path are going or leaving the unofficial nude beach we never have had an issue. And even if we encounter someone who may be shocked we just adjust the sarong for a little more coverage. We have made it a habit of stopping at the same small store on our way to the beach and they are used to seeing us showing off our private parts and just enjoy our business
