Another opening date comes and goes.........

...........and it is being pushed back again!!
According to St. Lucie county's website:

"Location: 5460 S Ocean Drive on South Hutchinson Island

Reason for Closure: The parking lot at Blind Creek Beach is closed for renovations, including improvements to the parking area and restroom facilities.

The beach will remain open with an alternative pedestrian access. Beachgoers who wish to continue to use Blind Creek Beach can access the designated clothing-optional section by parking at the Little Mud Creek parking lot to the north and proceeding south along the sidewalk on A1A to a temporary beach access entrance or access from the beachside.

Expected Reopening: The park is expected to reopen in late March 2026. "

Considering that the construction was done in November and all that needed to be done was several agencies to sign off on it, my theory is that there is someone on one of those agencies that has a bug up their ass about the nude beach and is refusing to sign off. If that is the case, they should have prevented the project in the first case. Now that the county has spent millions on it , and to have it unused is a travesty. Either that, or the state is holding it up.
Whatever it is, it is a shame since that beach is a tourist draw for the area.
