Shining in the sunshine

There's nothing quite like a body in the sunshine that is not only wonderfully smooth and tanned all over but has a nice shine to really pop on a sunny day. I love the look but am not sure what can be applied to give the body that wonderful shine and if they also provide protection.

What are your secrets?
