This is why labels are a problem. Vulcan mind melds are fiction - none of us can get into another guy's head and determine his true sexual orientation. Sometimes, people don't even understand their own sexual orientations because society tends to program people - especially men - to avoid any behaviors or thoughts that could - even remotely - be perceived as homosexual. There are men who are sexually attracted to women, but are aroused by dressing up in women's lingerie. Are those guys straight? Bisexual? Gay? Probably none of the above by your definitions. There are men who have very strong foot fetishes. If that is their primary mode of arousal, they may not even care who the owner of the feet is. What is their sexual orientation? I think the majority of men are far more sexually fluid than most would acknowledge - even to themselves. So, I suggest we each focus on our own sexual orientation and let people choose their own labels - if they must - and support them in that choice.
