This is a very interesting phenomenon that I was just recently discussing with a GF who is/was a counselor in Flagstaff, AZ . My own personal experience has been that the woman on top position allows for many lovemaking options the male but most importantly, this position allows for the greatest level of penile penetration into the vagina. A well practiced couple can maintain intercourse with out interuption for hours on end with just some periodic pelvic thrusting (upward into the vagina) in order to maintain his erection. This is the most relaxed position and does not lend itself to nor is it at all appropriate for those poor sexually immature and/or misinformed types who think that the "quicky" is the only way to go.

Being a male and looking and analysing a sexual encounter from that perspective I discover that for each and every woman that I ever made love to; their was one particular position that was the most well suited to bringing the gal to orgasm.
