nudist with undergear fetish
Exceller is wearing an Ikingsky thong. They are available on amazon of all places and quite inexpensive. I have several and they are quite comfortable, seem to be well made and come in a good array of colors. Good all day thong that gives you a little lift without crushing.
I chickened out of buying a Hom thong brief for my wedding day in the early'90s when they were briefly ;-) available in department stores, but bought my first one soon after followed by a swim brief. These days, it's thong or string briefs all the time except for medical appointments or for when I go commando. Men's ones are no longer available in shops, but women's ones can be fine depending on the style and then the rise of internet shopping allows for all tastes anyway.
I love the swim ones but rarely have an opportunity to wear them, although perhaps I should be more bold. My other swim briefs can be quite small anyway for places where a bloke in a thong may be challenging to others.
As for disguising what's underneath, that varies. My blue '90s Hom string is quite conservative in that respect, my Koala ones often less so.

Your post started me thinking about our wedding night. I don't think I bought new pyjamas but my bride had made a new nightie which was much more daring than anything available in the shops at that time. We wore neither garment that night and have slept naked together for the last 40-plus years, including visits to relatives and hotels.
As far as underwear is concerned I only started wearing thongs ec. about 25 years ago. When my regular things and g-strings were discontinued I bought a selection of inexpensive ones from the internet. Of these one pair was the only style of underwear of which my wife spontaneously said "I like those" so I bought five more pairs. I am especially glad I did so as they were subsequently discontinued.
johngw and others. I like your see-through thongs. I have a couple thongs, jockstraps and cocksocks that are see-through, too. But I find that I'm not comfortable wearing them in the gym locker room, I usually will choose totally nude and so situations where I could wear them they end up being "more than needed" clothing-wise. So, do you wear them when others might see them, or are they just underwear, like the topic suggests?
Yes, Nitehawk, like you I struggle to find places to wear them unlike John who's posted multiple photos with sheer fabrics in textile environments!
For me, if I'm going to be in a busy textile environment I stick to a brief that, while often small, covers front and rear with more opacity. I feel I can get away with less in areas where I can keep a polite distance from textile types or in unofficial clothing-optional areas where full nudity may not be best at the moment. It helps that thongs and strings are not illegal in the Australian jurisdictions I've checked, although sheerness could be debatable in terms of exposure.
