RE:Nude in Public

It is strongly advised that "playing" is not acceptable, but it still happens in bathrooms. You cannot stop it but again, this not an orgy. It is a body positive event and all men of all colors, sizes, shapes. It is to express and admire everyone's acceptance of yourself and others. It is a good vibe.
Reach out to me if you want to discuss further.

Years ago I was having a beer in Portland. I asked if I could be nude and the bartender had no problem. But I didn't take advantage.

Once in Portland I asked if I could go buff. The bartender had no problem with it.
It is now a condo. I should have continued on.

Recently there have been issues around a certain law enforcing an old law regarding nudity in Seattle. It used to be that male and female bartenders had to cover their nipples when working. I don't know the details but the law was challenged and has now be revised. There is one bar that has been having nude nights and also nude bingo and on their usual fetish night there are a lot of naked guys just being cool and walking around nude as if it is a normal thing.I am there as often as I can be. It's not the same as being the only one naked but it's still exciting. Anyone want to join me? Let me know.Nude hard hugs,Budnextdoor

The ridiculous nipple laws of the West Coast. In Los Angeles it's still illegal to show nipples in burlesque or at a strip club of which there's exactly one that's public. It's challenged because of male nipples being acceptable in public pools saunas gyms on beaches etc. with women's nipples being somehow obscene and indecent. They can't really explain why it should be radically different without falling back on very sexist or contradicting ideas... if she's nursing it's wholesome in the right place (special semi private or clinical settings) if not it's obscene, as in potentially just before or just after. The whole notion that bodies are obscene is the problem but it's pernicious tenacious and the legal cost of challenging and overturning one let alone all is why it's not done more consistently. It's a couple million in legal fees at the minimum. Glad to hear it's been trashed and that you have nude positive nights starting up.

Oh yes the male bartenders. At a bar the rationale is public health because a woman might lactate into a drink. Or get caught on the decor. The liquor licenses are always heavily bound up in anti prostitution laws and historically they get canceled for really daft reasons. Like a nipple because people might think they are selling their bar staff otherwise. Men become an issue with gay bars in the 70s primarily because they wanted to shut em down. Gay men are essentially women to cops or definitely hookers. They therefore pose a risk with the exposed nipples. Men also lactate 33% at one or more points in life. It's not tied to sexuality at all but it's quoted in the literature advancing these bans. What's at stake is the very normal instinct to get a wet shirt off in stifling club heat and women were doing it too especially in the 70s bra less and unbothered about taking one top off and throwing another on. The translucence of wet fabric is also measured in some instances so you're nude even if you're not. Heterosexual men were absolutely not going shirtless in bars or clubs and that is a class thing. Part of this is also the idea that seeing male nipples but not female ones implies that the man is somehow gay as a result. In the 70s suddenly shirtless or very open shirted male bartenders appeared in straight venues and even quite exclusive ones. The women of means and young and beautiful tended to be much more comfortable spending money if they had a hot bit of eye candy with manners serving them. So no man nips was tossed in... but just for bars in most places... except for Vegas I think over a certain period had pasties for stage shows men and women. Trivia about nonsense and foolishness we have to get rid of.
